You will be the leading official for the Association, and shall coordinate the actions of the Executive and Board. You shall act as the official spokesperson for the Association. You will represent the students in various settings, including the Laurentian University Board of Governors and Senate.
The Vice President of Policy and Advocacy shall advocate on behalf of the student body to University and government officials, on any issue of note. Specifically, the Vice President of Policy and Advocacy shall be responsible for raising awareness of key issues among the student body, and to respond to these issues by developing new, student driven initiatives.
The Vice President of Student Life shall assist in coordinating clubs and executing event management. Specifically, the Vice President of Student Life shall be responsible for organizing student events, as well as enriching programming through cultural events, fairs, and other initiatives throughout the year, including partnering with student clubs on events and programming that benefit our diverse student population.
The Senators shall represent the members of the SGA/AGÉ at the Laurentian University Senate. They shall attend and participate in meetings of the Senate and other obligations as required. Senators are responsible for communicating any decisions from Senate that may affect the membership.
The SGA/AGÉ is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the President and the executive. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include but are not limited to policy development, recording minutes at Board Meetings, assisting with communications and meeting arrangements such as agenda preparation, and tabling advocacy and event booths.
The SGA is seeking nominations for the position of CRO for the upcoming February 2019 elections. The CRO role is very important in the election process as they oversee the election protocols to insure proper procedures are being followed and that the election process is fair and equitable to all involved.
