Vice President Education

About the Vice President Education

The Vice President Education is responsible for advancing the interests of students within organizations external to the SGA/AGÉ. They advocate on behalf of the student body to the university and government officials. They are charged developing, maintaining, and advancing relationships with representatives at all levels of government, community partners, and university faculty and staff. As a part of this mandate the Vice President Education serves on the Laurentian University Senate, the SGA/AGÉ Board of Directors, and on OUSA's steering committee. They also engage the student body in education campaigns about key issues and develop student-driven initiatives to address these issues. Finally, they assist and provide support to students with matters related to academic processes such as grade appeals.

Why would I contact the VP Education?

Students should contact the Vice President Education if they want support regarding academic processes such as grade appeals or if they have concerns with a professor. They can also contact the Vice President Education if they have an advocacy topic they are especially passionate about and want help in facilitating it.
