About the Vice President
The Vice President is responsible for organizing and overseeing student events, including cultural and diversity-promoting initiatives with the goal of promoting diversity, inclusion, and a sense of community for students. They manage event planning for the organization and coordinate with student groups including clubs. Additionally, they support vendor bookings, sponsorship and fundraising efforts, and revenue generating endeavors that may be used to support additional student services. They work to build relationships with faculty, staff, local businesses, and other stakeholders pertaining to student life. The VP represents students within internal organizations, serving as a member of both the university's Senate and the SGA/AGÉ Board of Directors, and collaborating with university staff to enhance student programming.
Why would I contact the Vice President?
Students may contact the Vice President if they have questions about how to get involved with the SGA/AGÉ, or regarding SGA/AGÉ events or partnerships, or social life on campus in general. Clubs should contact the VP if they have any questions or concerns.
